I really enjoyed that Miles is interested in learning about his roots. One of the main complaints Ive heard, is that Miles has no Spanish representation. This series seems to put Miless roots as the most important. I am excited to see what he finds out learning about his family. I am also intrigued to see his relationship with his parents, as soon as they arrive to Puerto Rico. As far as the art, it is wonderful to see Miless suit so detailed, and it looks great. As well as the art style in each panel, is unique in its own way. Read Full Review
Miles Morales: Spider-Man Annual #1 is a cozy read that provides some insight into Miles' extended family in an emotionally intelligent way. Read Full Review
A few separate stories take place in this annual, with two of them featuring Miles Morales heading to Puerto Rico to visit his abuela. The best is the opening tale where it's mostly Miles outside of his Spider-Man costume, learning more about his family. Read Full Review
I think this was one of the best Spider-Man annuals I have read in years. Exactly everything I hoped it would be.
Main story is a great standalone read. Primary plot is only addressed by a few pages at the end.
It's a fun little read. Nothing really crazy happens. I liked the first story. The others were passable.
