The point that hit home for me the most was this uplifting of man as gods. Something CAMP (not Hickman, who's messaging really likes to work with in his own writing) seemed to tackle well. Tony's inner monologue, journal entries and the direct allusions to his "success" on the seventh day, who do gods pray to? It's fantastic. The most surprising aspect of the issue is the reveal that despite so many of the origin-boxes being sent out, only a handful actually worked. This is still a very grounded universe because it is choosing not to be overpopulated with larger than life figures and is having to navigate it's own way to correcting itself. Humans being gods.

Dude I read plenty of indie stuff, I just don't review everything I read. I find fault plenty with both Marvel and DC. Both with their portrayals of representation and politics. You defend a racist artist and spout slurs.

How is it false if he did it? We all know he did it. And he did it in a Marvel product. You're defending that? It's also pretty universally accepted that he was a phenomenal artist, he's just a garbage person for the things he's said and done and going as far as to include them in his artwork. That's indefensible.

Joe Bennett didn't *just* get fired for his anti-semitic art that he snuck into Immortal Hulk. He was an ardent supporter of Bolsonaro, who I'm sure Tempter is a big fan of, but for most people is a disgraceful far right bigotted embarrassment. He also publicly cheered on and made homophobic comments about journalist Glen Greenwald being assaulted. (Not that Greenwald isn't terrible himself, mind you).

And if you could look past all of that, look at who he collaborated with post his Marvel termination. He collaborated with someone called Vox Day, a self-proclaimed far right white supremacist who thinks women shouldn't have rights. He didn't just roll in the mud with comicsgate. He hooked up with someone that even comicsgate as a whole thinks is pushing things too far. And this shouldn't be surprising given the way he used dehumanizing traits to depict Bolsonaro's political enemies in his art.

Joe Bennett is a talented artist, that cannot be denied. But he's also a terrible person who believes in disgusting and shameful things. Tempter, by defending him so much, just outs themself as a genuinely terrible person who ought to be ashamed of themselves but doesn't have the wits to recognize it. The type of person that blathers so much you don't need a doctorate to diagnose them. He ought to be taken off the site, for everyone's sake, including his own.

Might be one of the better Marvel comics I've read in a bit. It felt familiar, but worthwhile.

This was a very interesting first issue.

This seemed solid all around. It has a lot of potential, especially if they can do a good job characterizing the villains.

I thought it was good, but the first part with Iron Lad and Doom was a little on the boring side. Loved the scenes with Hank and Jan. The socially reflective themes demonstrated with the Moloid hatred and with the media twisting the truth was well done. Looking forward to seeing this story progress.
