Three issues in, the book has created a dense and rewarding mythology. This world is filled to the brim with retro science-fiction stylization and excellent storytelling, and its one of the best books currently on the shelves. Christmas and Cole have made each issue a genuine joy to read. It's simple storytelling, but holds itself atop complex crafting that brings this fluidity. If you haven't picked up this series, start buying it, because it's so worth the money. Read Full Review

Tartarus started with a good, lengthy, issue which I would have been happy to have been recommended as something a bit different to my usual fayre. Im almost glad though that I started late and was able to jump straight into #2 and #3 as it really seems to be building a head of steam. If archaic, anarchic space opera is your thing, I cant see how you wont enjoy this. Read Full Review
This sci-fi epic by writer Johnnie Christmas & artist Jack T. Cole remains a dense and tough to navigate story. If you can push through and engage though you'll find an engaging and prescient series that could be your new favorite. Read Full Review
