I was going to say that Black Monday Murders is a diamond in the sand, a hidden treasure you only need find. However, a ruby may be more appropriate. It's sharp, cutting, incredibly deep, and blood red. Plus, if you have it tastefully on your person, it is clearly a sign of good taste. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Read Full Review
It's terrifying. Not just in a visceral sense " though it does enjoy getting messy from time to time. And it's good that it frightens you. The alternative is to set it down. Let the evil lurk in the shadows. Let it stay there. By then The Black Monday Murders has already put its hooks into us. Altered the way we look at things. Thank Jonathan Hickman and Tomm Coker's eerie metaphor about how the world works. Appreciate that the center will not hold. Fear what comes next. Read Full Review

I don't fully understand what's going on here, as Hickman is building a typically deep, mysterious world, revealing things piece by piece, but it is dark and fascinating. It's a credit to the creators that the book is always interesting in spite of many questions that linger.
