On July 16, 1945 the world changed forever. Santa Valentina was born. There was also the Trinity test, but that's not as important. As the world hangs in the balance, we explore the life and times of the girl who fell... skipped... to Earth. Also: check out that cow!
Gillen shares a few clever thoughts about his experience working with the series in after the timeline. Hes a sharp wit. Even nice Atom Bombs arent very nice, comes across as one of the better lines in the whole issue and it comes in his closing notes on the issue. Theres such an active conscience and consciousness about the series that feels so deeply engaging on so many levels. Read Full Review

All in all, The Power Fantasy continues to impress. It's such an excellent read and leaves you wanting to know more about each character or has you on the edge of your seat with what will happen next with the Family. I look forward to reading the best issue and seeing what the creative team gives us! Read Full Review
The Power Fantasy #3 opens up the world and its history while fleshing out one of the six super-powered people. One of the most interesting books currently on the shelves, what it lacks in action it makes up for in cool characters, an interesting setting, good mystery, and great dialog. It reminds me of a good Kevin Smith movie with a hint of Tarantino, in comic form. Valentina is my favorite character so far, she's just the right mix of "all powerful aloof" and sassy. This would make a great TV show, I think. My only complaint is that I have to wait a month for the next issue.
