    Comicosity - Chris Campbell Feb 7, 2018

Overall Twisted Romance#1 is the perfect introduction to the series. Not all love and romance is candy hearts and flowers. If you are unwilling to accept the fact that love is as diverse and complicated as the human race then this book wont be for you. However, if you are ready to look at love from a different angle then you should definitely pick this book up. Read Full Review

    ComicBook.com - Chase Magnett Dec 25, 2017

Whether a given reader enjoys all or none of these installments is beside the point. Twisted Romance is presenting some of the most interesting and talented creators working within comics today, and what they provide to this collection is representative of just why that is. It is not simply a matter of liking these pieces, it's that they are all worth discussing and re-reading. It's a stellar first issue of an anthology which clearly understands the purpose of this format. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jessica Petrecz Jan 23, 2018

The set up of this series, a rapid-fire series will release an issue every week of February with each issue having a new set of stories. This format feels fresh, it is original and it is really fun. You honestly could not have paired three more diverse stories in this premiere issue, and somehow they all connect with the overarching theme of love. Read Full Review

We The Nerdy - Cameron McFarland Feb 7, 2018

The three short stories inTwisted Romance, each with their own twist on romance, are engaging and stimulating thought exercises on what it means to want and be wanted. Sometimes we are asked to give too much and sometimes we are surprised when we realize we gave too little. For any reader who is mildly entertained by character relationships, I can recommendTwisted Romancewithout worry. I only hope the rest of this miniseries continues to be as deeply interesting as these stories proved themselves to be. Read Full Review

    Newsarama - Richard Gray Feb 6, 2018

In some ways, Twisted Romance does exactly what an anthology should do. It offers up a series of pieces that could not be more different from each other, challenging you to get comfortable. You may not love all the stories, and there may be some matches that you firmly want to swipe left on, but it is impossible to ignore any of the stories in this volume. Read Full Review

Impulse Gamer - Dana Folkard Feb 7, 2018

Overall, I enjoyed the first issue of Twisted Romance, finding it to be a highly enjoyable and engaging read. The haphazard combination of stories is a fun and wild ride that I found to be clever and immersive. Next week, the second issue comes out and I'm looking forward to seeing what radical treats are in store for us! Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Cat Wyatt Feb 7, 2018

The artwork is on the simpler side, with minimal to no shading, simple shapes and designs. It actually works for the story though, so I ended up loving it. Sometimes simple is better, it allows you to focus more on the story being told. And there's still so much character to the art. Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins Feb 7, 2018

A mixed bag of minimalist and abstract art coupled with writing that is equally inconsistent. A difficult and unsettling combination that is mismatched. Perhaps the next issue will be more cohesive. The art is more successful by far than the words. Read Full Review

The GCRN - Daniel Clark Feb 8, 2018

As a first issue Twisted Romance does little to convince you to come back for the next installment. Never does it separate itself from comics of a similar ilk that provide the same ideas in more tighter packages. Read Full Review
