It is however a mature story featuring nudity, lots of violence, and dark topics so that's something to both be intrigued about as well as mindful of when picking this comic up for yourself or someone else. This is a Matrix-Terminator mix. I liked this series - more action than Nice House on the Lake. So something must be done now to eliminate the end of the world. I can't wait for the 2nd arc. The art in this series is also outstanding.
Feels like a sister series to NICE HOUSE ON THE LAKE
It had moments that kept me highly intrigued, but the whole beginning with the sister was just not well thought out. At least for now.
W0RLDTR33 #5 marks the culmination of the first arc for James Tynion IV’s sci-fi horror series. Choices are made that elevate the stakes and seemingly set the course for the next arc. The cliffhanger ending appears to be so important to the advancement of the series that Tynion himself asked his social media followers not to spoil it for others.
For me, even though I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds, the major reveal felt unrealized in it’s intended impact. It felt like Tynion was trying to bridge the gap between an emotional weight and grim realization, but didn’t lean heavily enough into either to make land effectively.
