Now, she's the first to realize the Earth is in danger once more from something equally cosmic but far more sinister. As dubbed by a mystery figure, the Obsidian Men begin appearing silently all over the globe, and our heroes Noble, Summit, and Accell join together to investigate.

Major Spoilers - Christopher Rondeau Oct 2, 2019

Noble was written so well that in one short book, I wanted to root for him and ultimately felt terrible when he sacrificed himself. The art was so well drawn that I can feel the sadness in everyone's eyes. Read Full Review

Pastrami Nation - Daniel Schwartz Oct 8, 2019

This first of seven issues is not only an enjoyable read, but it is also an easy way for new readers to be introduced to the Catalyst Prime Universe (created around the first meteor crisis). If you are tired of reading about Batman putting Joker into Arkham for the 90th time or Spider-Man taking on another resurrected Green Goblin, this is the comic for you. A new world, fun superheroes, and a powerful alien threat make Seven Days a must-read. Read Full Review

On Comics Ground - Ian Cameron Oct 7, 2019

The creative team has begun this new era of the Catalyst-Prime universe with a truly beautiful, easy-to-jump into, incredibly suspenseful first issue. Taking such a mundane plot-device as an alien invasion, and putting such a crafty spin is beyond inspiring, and refreshing! I cannot WAIT to see how this tale continues! Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Ross Hutchinson Oct 1, 2019

Catalyst Prime: 7 days #1 is a prime (haha) example of the excellence that can be achieved by any publisher if you have the right creative team on a book. It's this type of solid opening issue that every comic book event series should aspire to be. Well written, superbly executed in all parts of the art from lines to lettering (lettering IS an art for the people at the back) and carries weight and gravitas that sucks you in and leaves you wanting more. Highley recommended! Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins Oct 2, 2019

Catalyst Prime: Seven Days promises a dynamic apocalyptic actioner, and sets the table for a group of heroes to save an already devastated Earth from imminent destruction. The book starts strong with a team of good guys with interesting powers and a convincingly evil big bad. Read Full Review

The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Oct 2, 2019

Playing a bit of catch-up in order to understand this particular universe, the opening installment lays things out pretty well in very small and basic form. Which is to its advantage since it's more about looking forward than backward. Simone brings us through a lot of characters in quick, just like a good disaster movie, teasing us with what's to come before going right into the first kill. It's got a lot to convey but doesn't belabor any of the points while at the time feeding what it needs to. Combine that with some solid artwork from Luis and the team and you get something that's pretty accessible that will have you looking forward to what's next but also potentially piqued about prior works worth checking out. Comic Crusaders - Johnny "The Machine" Hughes Oct 2, 2019

Lion Forge have been publishing some strong books. By bringing Simone into the fold, they are looking to capture a loud and vocal group of fans. For that to happen, the quality of the story needs to shine. This is the first issue and whilst it may not automatically feel like a Simone book, there are enough hints and teases to intimate that normal service will be resumed during this run. Throw in the art of Lis and company, delivering a solid quality of production and Lion Forge may eventually get their wish. Read Full Review

A decent superhero comic book that has "diverse" characters (awful expression) without labouring the point, or making it what the comic is about... that is until you get to the godawful afterword that made me want to vomit. More of the story please, less of the self-congratulatory pontificating bullshit.
