CHARRED REMAINS #2 is a decent issue, but it doesnt quite reach the heights of its predecessor. While the character development and world-building are commendable, the lack of plot advancement and action leaves readers wanting more. Fans invested in Amy and Vics inner journeys may appreciate the deeper exploration, but others might find the slow pace frustrating. Read Full Review
I love the mystery that’s unfolding in nearly every panel and then brought to life with a soft color palette that oozes of the pages. As a second issue the pace slows done but the intrigue takes its place and leaves a wash of anticipation on the reader. This is intelligent horror on a grand scale and I look forward to being drawn into the fires.
Even more gripping than the first issue. Hard to talk about the content of the story but it feels very real while still being fantastical. They way trauma and fear is depicted here is fantastic. The characters feel like actual people. Not paragons of society. People with flaws, baggage and weight.
