Avengers #30 starts the fight for the Grail as the Avengers journey to find it before Myrddin does, but the villain is two steps ahead. The comic does a solid job setting this up as a big event for the Avengers. They even get to fight some Marvel Zombies, or at least the ones left on Battleworld. However, the big reveal of Myrddins true identity will shock a few readers but not many others who probably saw it coming since his introduction. Well see how things unfold in the next issue. This issue took me by surprise. It‘s actually… good!?! Despite the fact this Avengers team is quite aloof and unlikable, there was some sort of hopeful heroism that drew me in - in addition to Karami‘s art, which is getting better with each issue.
I could have done without Cyclops‘s psychotic X-Men team tough.
This story is never ending. I never thought I'd want the Avengers to lose. They just so boring.
Really didn't the pages of them voting and annoucing thier skills. Might be good for new readers, but this story is 30 issues long so far, new readers probably aren't jumping on at this point.
