Captain America, Hawkeye, Night Thrasher and Hercules deploy to investigate a small New England town tormented by the radioactive ghosts of Super-Apes! But are the spectral simians villains or victims? And what is the RED GHOST doing in Massachusetts?
Rated T+
The villain of the month style of story telling combined with a behind the scenes plot and stellar visuals make this book another win for this creative team! The inclusion of the classic villain, Red Ghost was a wonderful addition to this story. If they continue with this trend this book may be something special! Read Full Review
Eaton delivers some great looking art in the issue. The visuals are lively and I really enjoyed the character designs a lot. Read Full Review
Eaton and D'Amico nail the multiple crowd scenes, and Avengers Assemble keeps scratching that old school team comic itch. Read Full Review
While the story treats Red Ghost as a surprise, the solicits and the cover make it feel odd, but an interesting collection of heroes playing with familiar '90s-era tropes makes for an interesting issue. Read Full Review
Plot
Captain America, Hawkeye, Night Thrasher and Hercules go to Kingsport in England to analyze some radioactive ghost gorillas that are terrorizing the population, only to discover that it is an experiment by Red Ghost. But Hercules' mallet can help these lost souls to be free on another plane.
They all wear the jackets with location technology, first aid and bulletproof and Night Thrasher's privilege.
While the Avengers are distracted, the Serpent Society obtains another element for the Serpent Tears ritual.
This installment deviates into a paranormal situation that is not a typical mission for the Avengers, which does not end up being very interesting.

It is very detailed, suppor more
I gave this title two issues knowing that Steve Orlando is a crap writer, and it was probably two issues too many. The dialogue in here is simply awful. Amateur at best. How do these writers get jobs? I'm baffled. The jackets look dumb as hell and there are far too many characters on the team. Gorilla ghosts? Come on! Then Cap says, you can have him, just don't kill him. How did know they could understand him, much less heed his command? They go back down to see Red Ghost mauled to death and then Cap says, "Oh well, I tried." So, stupid. This is a drop for me. Can't anyone tell a good Avengers story? Jeeze.
