Another really good story, with an unusual premise leading to some really great comics. Read Full Review
Ewing especially really shines here, not only giving some great characterization to the trio of Avengers helming the series, but mining the deep ore of Marvel continuity to spin an interesting yarn in Avengers Mansion. Read Full Review
On the one hand, this is a relatively straightforward "foil a heist" story. It's a little rushed by the space available; the pieces jigsaw together with suspicious speed and simplicity.
On the other hand, the storytelling on display is virtually faultless. And there's ample character material lurking just beneath the surface to satisfy any desire for greater depth.
And on a subjective note, this issue is almost ideally focused according to my taste. The big-picture story involving Ant-Man is present, but on the back burner. The main stage is occupied by a straight, self-contained crime story. I like it a hell of a lot.

The set-up in the first issue leads nicely into the second issue with another mystery to solve. There is almost a Scooby-Doo element in the story, except no “meddling kids”. The nostalgic references from the first issue return along with another guest appearance. There is a good sense of a larger story with enough interest in the immediate plot of the issue to provide a solid comic.
