Plot
After the BLOOD HUNT event, Blade exiled himself to a remote island in Asia called Lupui Island, where he lives as a hermit, training and building weapons, but mostly torturing himself.
He is visited by Damien, a member of the Spellguard, a sect of sorcerers who sought to destroy a sect of vampires that experiments with humans, they hire Blade to eliminate their new leader...PONTIOUS VAN HELSING!
Blade meets with Damian, but notices that Damian uses his magic to persuade him, Blade eliminates Damian and agrees that he is going after Van Helsing but on his own terms.
Using a magic dagger he locates Van Helsing on a map, who is waiting for him.

This was pretty solid, but it failed to wow me like a #1 should. On the fence about picking up the next issue. Plus, $5 for a comic this size is stupid.
