Many different parties are now at play in Carnages quest for god-like power. Issue #7 does a fantastic job of elevating the stakes of its narrative while maintaining focus on the lone detective stuck in the middle. Read Full Review
What works here is that there is a combination of a slight bit of humor as well as an increasing sense of escalation and while some of the action sequences here feel ridiculous at times, it's still an intriguing and fun read all around. Read Full Review
Carnage #7 picks up where it left off with Detective Jon Shayde working with Malekith The Accursed to escape Niflheim and keep him out of Carnage's hands. This issue rolls along at a fast clip, which I appreciate. The art remains fluid and organic, but particularly clear this time around. The script leans much more toward plot than character development, and it does a good job. It feels like I've learned a lot about Carnage's plans … and yet I still know very little. It's a good mystery.
This night be the best Carnage issue out of the last 4 or 5. I think this one gave the series a much needed boost. It was losing me. Now I feel like I should stick around a little longer.
