A simple change of venues for one of Matt Murdock's cases becomes more complicated when THE PUNISHER attempts to send the defendant away...permanently! If DAREDEVIL and BLINDSPOT want to get this mobster his day in court, it will take every ounce of wit and wile they have. All Frank needs to get what he wants is a bullet. The race is on!

I think this issue will help to draw in fans of the TV show curious enough to read the source comics. It does a great job explaining and connecting to what the average reader knows about the heroes. The comic also gives enough to make the story unique so that we aren't simply reading a scene from the show. Read Full Review

This is a great way to start the series off. There is a lot of action and tension between Daredevil and the Punisher. It’ll be interesting to see how their interactions develop during the series. I’m excited to see where things go, and I have no doubt that Soule is the perfect person to make this series as entertaining as can be! Read Full Review

Heroes Direct - Adam Fitch Jun 20, 2016

Reilly Brown and Szymon Kudranski are the team behind this comic run, giving an almost cinematic feel to a chase sequence and bringing out the best of each other. It has a dark feeling, as expected, and it fits this combination of characters perfectly. Unfortunately, some characters seem just too weird in terms of proportion and it's hard to look past. Overall, if you enjoyedDaredevil Season 2 on Netflix or you're a fan of the comic history between the duo, then you'll find this issue entertaining. But if you're looking for something new and innovative; keep looking. Read Full Review

Fans of the Daredevil/Punisher rivalry will likely be entertained by this new series. It starts with a bang and doesn't let up as the two characters go to war over a hapless prisoner. But whether this series will explore their dynamic in greater depth or can add something new to the saga of Matt Murdock and Frank castle, that remains to be seen. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Jessica Petrecz May 5, 2016

If you are new to Daredevil or Punisher or maybe even both, this book will serve as a great introduction to the characters and what they stand for. Each one is staying true to some core beliefs that have shaped each character for many years, but there could be more to the story. That is the beauty of comics; you never know really what is happening until the very end. There is always a way to surprise and delight readers with every issue. Daredevil/Punisher #1 is exciting despite its predictable first issue set up because it has the capacity and potential to be more than just this first issue. Over this arc we could expect something to happen to take the story off the predictable track and into new terrain. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton Jul 1, 2016

While I appreciate that Marvel is creating print editions of their online comics, this is one that doesn't translate well art-wise, and it doesn't offer much by way of the plot, either. It's ultimately a bit forgettable, and that's too bad. Considering that the Punisher appears in the second season of "Daredevil," there's a whole new audience who might want to read a "Daredevil/Punisher" miniseries, but this is a little too slight to pull them in. Great action and awesome art...classic DD vs. Punisher story with a fresh twist. I enjoyed the fast pace and fluid action and look forward to next issue. Highly recommended.

I have never read a comic I didn't enjoy, thats the beauty of comics for me. So a 6.5 is probably the lowest I would rate a book. I enjoyed this book, I love Daredevil, especially the back sassing Lawyer dialogue when he is Matt Murdock (I know he is always Matt Murdock, but you know what I mean). Though I enjoyed this book and a big heads up to Kudranski for some spectacular Daredevil manoeuvres, I felt like it was very much just a mild set up, we knew exactly what was going to happen from the beginning and it felt like I was just waiting for the end of the book. I hope this book becomes more about their relationship, than it does Punisher's personal War or Murdock's constant battle with Morality and sensibility. This doesnt mean I didnt e more

Something about the breakdowns gave away that this was originally an infinite comic, so I can forgive some awkward repeat panels, like the one with the baton flying in mid air but not moving in the next panel. This cover price is disappointing though. Yes, there are 30 pages of content, but it doesn't come with the digital download, so it's a rip off considering any other book from marvel that is $3.99 and over comes with the digital copy. This is one that I really want the digital copy for too, making it that much more disappointing. This plot is okay...Well, frankly it's nothing that we haven't read in any other DD/Pun crossover. I hope soule has something more up his sleeve. Glad to see that Big Pun still has his sweet van, classic.
