Overall, I think this was a great continuation showing all of the emotions everyone is feeling after losing Deadpool. I'm loving Ellie taking on the mantel as Deadpool but still having to uphold the "no kill rules. It's continuing to be a fun ride. Read Full Review
There is some good story hooks to mine from a scenario like this but for the team of mercenaries, it almost feels like it's business as usual. While Ellie makes for a solid protagonist, it feels like this move to kill Wade simply doesn't feel earned here. Read Full Review
Halfway through the book, I thought to myself "this isn't as annoying as the past six issues, is there a new writer?" so I went back and checked the credits page and sure enough there's a co-writer listed. She must be helping out a lot because the writing was a LOT better in this issue. Ellie has been a delight, as has been Princess. Ellie's grief process is well done and I'm enjoying Taskmaster's role on the "team" as well. The art was solid too. Best issue of the run so far.
This book is truly awful
