May 08, 2018Ironically, previous to reading this FCBD comic I was NOT planning to read the Avengers series and I was looking forward to Cap. The Avenger story peaks interest enough to pick up the first issue, maybe first arc. Jason Aaron story is always playing the long game but the epic scale is fitting in an Avenger story. Coates' Captain America, however, fail to excite and even make me dread what's coming next with typical heavy handed political propaganda from Coates.

The Avengers story was fairly good for setting up the new run, the Captain America story was maybe too light on story.
