Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War #1 isn't bad, it sets things up for what's to come. It does its best at explaining what's going on. Fortnite fans may understand that a bit more but those new might feel a bit lost. While it's not bad, the comic might be one for Fortnite fans more than just Marvel. Read Full Review

This book is a fun romp and hopefully we see more characters from the Marvel universe more fully interact with the Fortnite characters moving forward. It's not a perfect book but it has enough action and characterization to hopefully draw in new readers and help them understand what makes comics fun. Read Full Review
In Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War (2022) #1, the toys play nicely with each other, but the end result is an oversized issue that's somehow less than the sum of its parts. Maybe the best everyone can hope for is that the Fortnite player who bought the comic for the in-game cosmetic will read this issue between games? Read Full Review
Younger readers who love Fortnite will likely enjoy Fortnite x Marvel: Zero War #1 more than casual comics fans aided by the fact that each issue comes with codes to get in-game swag. The story however is packed with a lot of exposition making it feel less like an epic action comic and more like an explainer of every little thing.
