What I liked about this issue of Gambit was that he's on his own, no X-Men and his own set of supporting characters and in this one issue; I saw a blend of science fiction, gangsters, James Bond style escape on Snowmobiles, potential romance and an uncanny ending. This was another stellar issue, filled with tons of awesome moments. From Remy's “accidental architect” line to his Harry Potter dreaming and then the twist ending. From the beginning Gambit's been pretty much making up things as he goes along but here we see him planning, which is a great change of pace. Read Full Review
Gambit #10 (and the series in general) is great because it doesn't try to be something it's not. Regardless of the events in Gambit's life, he never takes anything too seriously, which is true to his character. The result is fun book that stands out in a world inundated with dark, gritty, or extremely serious titles. Also, if you were ever a fan of Gambit back in the day or from the television series, you can easily jump onto the book. Most of the books so far have done a good job of recapping past events.
