Hellverine is much more than an excuse to bring back a flaming Wolverine. The first issue introduced a multi-layered plot that gave Logan multiple reasons to be involved. Hellverine #2 elevates the series by connecting the plot emotionally to the various characters involved, especially Logan. The result is an even more engrossing storyone that still features a flaming Wolverine. Read Full Review
I think Hellverine is off to a nice start. This issue focused on building foundations for what was to come, while still injecting action and conflict into the narrative. I was worried at times that I might get bored, but then something would happen and keep the pace up. I feel like this book will get better the further we get as Percy is really building some interesting plot points that could pay off big. Read Full Review

Not quite as good as the first issue, but still good nonetheless. I appreciated the backstory on how Daken came to be Hellverine, even if it didn't explain the claw thing I mentioned in my review of the previous issue. Ohta's art continues to be a strong point as well.
