If you're of an age where you're looking for a book to entertain you and you have grown tired of the brooding slug-fests a lot of other books release on a monthly schedule then why not take a chance on a book which is a solid guarantee? Howard the Duck is funny, touching and just down right good. Quit wasting your time with books you buy just because and pick up something enjoyable. Read Full Review

So Howard is stuck with us for a little while longer (for better, for worse). Which means things will never get boring"well, not while he's resting his tail feathers on our planet, anyway. As Marvel tries to fool us with the #1 on the cover, it's easy enough to overlook it. But, either way, this was a great first issue. Funny, well written, and the art was solid for the most part. Marvel needs more unique titles like this! Definitely worth checking out! Read Full Review

Much like Spider-Gwen or Unbeatable Squirrel-Girl, think of this Howard the Duck as season 2. They've had one season to do the comic they wanted to do, figured out what worked and what didn't, and fix those things going forward. Read Full Review

    Comicosity - Allen Thomas Nov 5, 2015

I'm glad I read Howard the Duck this week. It was outside of my typical zone but has a feel to it that is rather novel. In a world of capes, masks, and superpowers, Howard is an alien who gets by with dry wit and political savvy. I think a series like this is needed to break up the superhuman reverie, but also give a new series to people who may not be as into capes. While Howard the Duck was a bit different for me, I definitely have my eye on it going forward. Read Full Review

The Beat - Alexander Jones Nov 6, 2015

Zdarsky and company's new #1 with the character continued all the ongoing plot threads and barely introduced anything to readers who are just jumping on right now, making this a poor "first issue" read. Read Full Review
