The Inhuman annual isn't a one-off with unimportant side story material. It's essentially the conclusion of the series itself ahead of Secret Wars. And it does a lot of work here in exposing the fractured nature of the Inhuman race with all of the different factions and how Lineage is attempting to usurp them all with the NuHumans – and to stand above humanity itself. There's some solid action sequences here that play out well, and some great little bits such as with Eldrac getting his due that made me grin. Including Kamala for a bit and doing a montage double page spread showing a lot of different characters in various settings getting Lineage's message just made me want to know more of what's going on with them. This is a solid annual, though I do wish it had the opportunity to finish as the series proper since I can imagine some folks skipping it simply because annuals tend to be less critical to storylines. IGN - Jesse Schedeen May 6, 2015

Ryan Stegman's art isn't always an ideal fit for this book. There are times when a less stylized and more elegant approach to the character might work better, particularly with characters like Medusa. On the other hand, he crams this book with great action scenes (with Karnak making a spectacular entrance in one particular panel). And Stegman proves he's no slouch with emotional scenes either. The final, silent panel is a very effective way to close out the book. Read Full Review

Graphic Policy - Edward Wendt May 7, 2015

The action unfolds here almost too close to what would be expected, and with the series heading into Secret Wars, a rapid resolution is needed to get all the various plot points wrapped up in time for the series to head into the crossover with its full attention. As in most cases of speeding through its own plots, this does a disservice to the series, which has taken the time to build characters, as opposed to racing by them. While it is to the detriment of this issue, it still manages to succeed on enough levels as to earn a passing grade. This is after all the same series that did so well so far in its dozen or so issues to establish these characters as never before in the Marvel universe. Despite the rushed approach here, it is still easy to care about these characters because the creative team have made them approachable in previous issues, and thus while not the strongest issue thus far, this still fits well enough into the overall narrative. The Kliq Nation - Timdogg May 6, 2015

One theme that can be taken away from Inhuman is of people that are different, coming together as a family. There will be those who have their own agendas. But there is strength in numbers, especially for those who are different. Luckily, thanks to the Inhuman creative team, they have guided Medusa on her new journey as leader of the NuHumans. This version of their story may be ending now, but in essence, it is just beginning. Read Full Review
