It's also appropriate that Stark is fighting alongside some of his other long time foes. It's hard to say it's going to last, but it's been great to see him put aside long running rivalry to fight the greater problem – the Mandarin. I am still a little confused exactly why Rhodey had to fake his death, but there's still likely an explanation forthcoming. Overall, this has been a very satisfying arc with great scripts from Matt Fraction and the great, high quality art from Salvador Larroca. It's hard to think any Iron Man fan would be disappointed by the story. Read Full Review
Mandarin's end game is a little questionable. He plans to fire a missile into the Earth. Maybe it's his "back against the wall" plan. Perhaps he foresaw Stark's rebellion after all? If he did he definitely didn't show it up until that moment. Read Full Review

Likewise, it will be interesting to see what Fraction does with Fantastic Four and FF after the acclaimed run of Jonathon Hickman. Read Full Review
This issue relegates the Hammer girls to the sidelines, so that only the Stark Resilient and Rhodey subplots remain to offset Tony's struggle. Those two pieces of the story are all but merged at this point as Fraction builds closer and closer to the big reunion/rescue sequence. A brief appearance by a couple of super-teams from the book's past only heightens the idea that Fraction is pushing towards the finish line. More loose ends are coming together and the stakes are growing higher. It seems that the cover image of Mandarin crushing the world in his grip is more literal than it seems. So even if the general sense of plot progression remains a bit sluggish from month to month. Fraction is delivering a worthy finale to his multi-year run. Read Full Review
