Exiled is shaping up to be even more enjoyable than I'd expected. Like Venom's Circle of Four arc before it, Marvel's five week crossover storylines seem like throwaways when you first glimpse them as solicitations, but they truly are well thought out and conceptually clever. On the other hand, the twist in the Disir story was clever and made for an interesting play on legend and, on a larger scale, mythology and religion. We're so used to hearing one story and letting that be the gospel, but every story has at least two perspectives. What if what we know about something had more than one side to it that greatly changes that original thing in a way that has us sympathizing with something that was always portrayed as a demon? Are you more likely to put your trust on that version that opens your eyes and seduces you with new ideas and thoughts on the topic? Can that end up being a ruse that will be the undoing of everything? That's what we will likely ask ourselves in the final part of “Exiled” and we can get back to what we've come to expect from this series since its return. Read Full Review
An interesting plot twist.
Gillen’s fantastic writing of Loki carries this lackluster crossover with New Mutants. Tbh it was unnecessary to make this a crossover. Think about it why are the New Mutants even there? From what I can tell the only reason they are there is because Sigurd lives across the street. I know they had to wake up the Asgardians but still felt really unnecessary and the only New Mutant who actually does anything is Dani
