Anyway, the series was great especially this last issue. Again, it had its ups and downs mainly because I didn't know where it was going. This is an example as to why you sometimes need to stick through a series to the end. If I didn't, I never would have gotten to this amazing issue. Pick up the entire series and feel free to read it with your kids. They will love it too. How many books can you and your littlest both read and enjoy? Trust me and go for it! I have no doubt you will love it!  Read Full Review

This was never going to be a grim or super serious event, but despite the fluff, Lockjaw held some suspense, delivered on a promise of action, and admirably stuck the landing. We have found our new pair of purposeful pals in Lockjaw and D-Man: the dynamic duo of the dog park. Read Full Review

This was an extremely fun series, with this issue probably being the highpoint. We'll probably never get another Lockjaw miniseries, given the sales, but I'm glad the one we got wad actually good and not just a throwaway all-ages comic.

The story concludes by revealing a shockingly good origin story for Lockjaw, showing his triumph over Annihilus, and kicking a healthy slice of action and growth to D-Man. Superb art and formidable funny writing throughout. Sheer enjoyability and the significant service this series has done in clarifying Lockjaw's origins make this final issue all-time great.

Plus, the creators take a one-panel dig at Brian Michael Bendis's impromptu resurrection of the Ultimate Universe.

Welcome to the Oblivion Bar where the first round is on me and the pretzels are free! Be warned: like the pickled eggs at the bar, this issue is going to get SPOILED rotten.
