Comic Book Revolution - Rokk Krinn
Feb 24, 2008Mighty Avengers #9 was a fun action adventure story with a legit big-time villain. This is what I expect when I pick up an issue of the Avengers. I was pleasantly surprised that Bendis was able to crank out such an enjoyable issue. Readers who love what is currently being given to us on New Avengers probably won't dig this issue. But, I would certainly recommend Mighty Avengers #9 to any readers who enjoy an action packed issue that is nothing more than an enjoyable bit of escapism. Read Full Review

Comic Book Bin - Herv St-Louis
Mar 24, 2008This is a good looking issue, with each time strip separated by a different style. It works well and tells us more about the story and the many settings. Much of this story is one big fight after another but they look fine and flow well over all the inking is crisp, just the way I like it. Read Full Review

Feb 20, 2008It's absolutely possible to read Mighty Avengers #9 and thoroughly enjoy it for what it is: an uncomplicated, fun superhero book. All the pieces are at least competently done. I just have to wonder what the point of the title is meant to be. Read Full Review

Weekly Comic Book Review - J. Montes
Feb 22, 2008Brian Bendis is going all weird and random on this book. I'm not sure what its voice or direction is, but the constant odd-ball surprises are quite funny. There are some outstanding questions that need answers, however. If Doom didn't order the attack on New York, who did? And where is Doom's army of Atlantians (read last year's Sub-Mariner if you don't understand what I'm talking about). Mark Bagley? Wow! This guy blows the doors wide open when he gets to the battle. If this is his last Marvel comic book, he definitely went out in style. Read Full Review

Comics Bulletin - Dave Wallace/Ariel Carmona
Feb 19, 2008Dave: Well, it was Frank Cho's artwork in the previous arc that caused the delays. Bagley has seemingly worked flat-out to get these issues out even faster than usual. Still, by the looks of things, I dont think it can save this arc. Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Kirk Warren
Feb 20, 2008I don't know if it's worth checking or if you should just avoid it. I doubt you'll miss anything if you don't pick it up and it was a rather pedestrian outing for this title, which is bad if you consider they are fighting freaking Dr Doom here. Read Full Review
