FORBUSH MAN RETURNS Part 1 (OF 1)
Get ready to break the internet, folks, because FORBUSH MAN IS BACK - and he's ready to take over the comics industry! Meanwhile, Captain America, Gwenpool, and more are...not quite themselves these days. Featuring stories by NICK SPENCER (SECRET EMPIRE, CAPTAIN AMERICA) CHRISTOPHER HASTINGS (GWENPOOL, VOTE LOKI) JAY FOSGITT (My Little Pony, Bodie Troll) and many, many more!

The problem is that the issue is making fun of modern conceits (Cap is a member of Hydra! Deadpool and Gwenpool are everywhere! Let's give all the heroes new female counterparts!) - and the humorous takes are too close to what we're actually seeing in the comics. Read Full Review

I don't think anyone was expecting this to be a bombshell. Even so, it feels like more of a wasted opportunity for Marvel to earn some trust back with those who have abandoned the publisher. Either way, there are some good chuckles in here. Read Full Review
Two solid gag strips (from Gwenpool and Squirrel Girl, no surprise there) carry some forgettable "funny" filler and a fascinating study in smugness wherein Nick Spencer accurately identifies but in no way apologizes for some of Secret Empire's key weaknesses. A perfect Marvel Unlimited book - it gave me some solid chuckles, but I'd feel downright dirty paying full price for it.
