ON THE RUN AMONG THE STARS!
• JEAN GREY has been going toe-to-toe with some of the universe's toughest foes...but now a new threat is brutally asserting his dangerous reputation: none other than THANOS.
• And while she single-handedly battled back the BLACK ORDER, their nefarious progenitor (and his mysterious connection to Jean's many galactic enemies!) is another story entirely.
• To have a hope of victory, PHOENIX will need to reach out - beyond the limits of her own powers - and find allies to take a stand against the Mad Titan!
RATED T+
I feel that each installment of Phoenix is more compelling than the last, as Jean's story gets more and more eventful. Phoenix #6 has a great amount of continuation while adding in new factors that expand the story even more. Hats off to the creative team! Read Full Review
What Thanos does with having the universe turned against Jean Grey made this war between them deeply personal. How that gets turned into a story that has a large cosmic scale, especially with the other Marvel cosmic characters involved, build greater excitement for where things will go next. Read Full Review
Phoenix #6 is a shift in more ways than one: not only does it introduce a new artist, but it gives Jean a new foe in Thanos and new allies to boot. Read Full Review
Not quite as awesome as the last issue was for me, but still a super solid read. Renna's art is really nice and I genuinely wouldn't mind if he ended up becoming the main series artist. Oh yeah, and I'm really intrigued by the team set up at the end of the issue. I continue to look forward to the next issue for this run.
this caught me by surprise. I liked this
That cover is amazing! I don't see the point to this book but at least we have a cosmic marvel book on the stands and it's ok. Out of the entire crop of mid to low tier writers that have come into comics I think Phillips is the most consistent in putting out decent content and this issue is just that, decent.
