Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are no longer on speaking terms. So when the Wizard corners each of them with his new army of Frightful Four Hundred, it will take all their ingenuity - and all their power - to survive. But can the twins save themselves without unleashing something worse? And are they really as alone as they think?
Rated T+
Steve Orlando and Luciano Vecchino maximize the pure comic book villainy of Wizard and the Frightful Four Hundred. The results are a true challenge for Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as they must think on their feet to take on this threat. Read Full Review
So far issues one and two have been action packed. The pacing is moving fast, but in an appropriate way. Steve Orlando continues to keep me engaged with his amazing character writing, especially Quicksilver. The Wizard is a great villain, but I'm still curious as to who is pulling his strings. The art from Lorenzo Tammetta and Frank William is progressive yet still feels classic. I love every page. This is one of those books that tends to fly under the radar for whatever reason. It's a shame though, because it's a beauty that deserves the spotlight! Read Full Review
There are lots of themes and past plot points that the team has uncovered here. From the twins being the biological children of Magneto, and that status quo returning, to the fact of Wandas mutant abilities of probability manipulation resurfacing while she was battling the Wizard at her destroyed shop in Lotkill. Their addition really enhanced this storyline, and hopefully well see these themes continue in the upcoming ongoing that launches later this spring. Read Full Review
Tammetta offers some fantastic art in the issue. It has some great action and beautifully detailed characters. Read Full Review
For fans of the larger Maximoff family tree, this issue is absolutely a must-read, even if it is just a stepping stone towards the story's bigger beats. Read Full Review
The colors and artwork really pop on this excellent second issue. Everything is humming along nicely. Read Full Review
Building up Wanda's Ability to Defy the GRAND DESIGN is something that made this issue unique.
But the introduction of Wanda's Connection to TRUE & ANCIENT CHAOS stands out with this issue.
I love ORLANDO use the Tree of Life, Tree of Knowledge of good & evil & the Burning bush to create Wanda's Divine Tree.
Keep it up
