I am sure this is going to cross over into the Hidden Empire storyline soon but I would recommend against reading that as it is just a mess. This one is fine for now and seems to be continuing on even if you think it should have reached a conclusion by now. Read Full Review
While recent issues of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra teased that the titular character's exploits would be just as compelling as those embarked upon by the supporting characters, this isn't entirely the case, as every time the book shifts away from Aphra, there's an immediate drop in interest. Those characters aren't necessarily bringing down the overall quality of the experience, but with Aphra and Miril's journey being so much more compelling, the momentum of that adventure is undercut by what's going on in the rest of the book. This series has really run its course. Alyssa has nothing new to say here. I'm not sure why she is still on this title after five years. This whole thing was the Spark stinks. I'm just waiting for it to be over. Even the art was bad in this issue. If things continue down this course for the next 3 issues, I'm probably going to drop it until they bring new blood on.
