Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente deliver a Wolverine-centric Weapon X story and Im happier with it than I thought possible! Its a story of Logan versus Sabretooth that really gets into nuts and bolts of the relationship. Maybe its been done before, but its never left me so excited to read the next issue! Read Full Review

WEAPON X #15 by Greg Pak, Fred Van Lente, Roland Boschi, and Frank D'Armata is a brutal fight between Old Man Logan and Sabretooth. It works as both a reader-friendly issue and an issue for long-time fans of either character. Read Full Review

All in all, it's a pretty boring issue, but what takes the issue from being passable to being borderline intolerable is the messy look of Roland Boschi's art. Boschi is a talented artist, but it just doesn't work this issue, which is particularly a letdown considering last issue was truly fantastic. Read Full Review

While the rest of the team takes a night off, Sabretooth springs his traditional birthday ass-whupping on Logan. But he's never actually tackled the Old Man version this way. Will that make a difference? Some of the dialogue says, "yes." The majority of the book says, "don't hold your breath." The writing is nothing special and the art is a major misfire. It's not irredeemable, it's just way too stylized to slide into an established title as a fill-in. Weapon X is always dumb and loud, but #15 shows off the drawbacks of stupidity and volume without any silver-lining cleverness.

Bland plot that erases any character development Sabretooth has had over the last few years. We have plenty of Sabretooth vs. Wolverine fights. We didn't need to spend chapters rehashing that. And the fact that Sabretooth is clearly evil again is not addressed. They couldn't work in the inversion gradually wearing off and showing Creed's struggle. No, he's just maniacally evil again. This chapter doesn't even have the high spot of good art. The style just doesn't work.

The ooc characterization strikes again. OML & Creed are using smartphones, and Creed sends numerous emojis to Logan in a birthday text. Seems like Pak just threw this in to make himself look "hip" for the younger crowd, rather than honestly thinking if it fit. In more

This is the worst X-Men comic book ever made. I have shame for Greg Pak when I read it. It's bad in all possible levels.
