As I always say, Stephanie Phillips never misses. X-Men: Blood Hunt- Laura Kinney The Wolverine #1 is such a wild ride of mutant goodness. I love seeing Laura and Scout working together but also at odds with each other. The dialogue was written in a way that you can see their both frustrated with each other, but still will do what needs to be done for the other. My one and only complaint is that I want more of it right this second! Read Full Review
X-Men: Blood Hunt Laura Kinney: The Wolverine (quite a title for a one-shot) is a great example of what a tie-in can be within a larger event. It's character focused, adds necessary plotting to the larger storyline, and is beautiful drawn by experienced artist that provides the visual core necessary to support the storyline. Wolverine has never looked as formidable and willing to dispense violence than in this issue. Read Full Review
It's a harmless, inoffensive issue that could be better, but could also be a whole lot worse. Read Full Review
Perfect example of an event tie-in done well. Relevant to the event but self-contained, interesting, well drawn and written. Probably the best Blood Hunt tie-in so far.
The best of the X-Men one-shots for Blood Hunt, in my opinion. That said, this did feel a little crammed overall and I would have appreciated a bit of a slower pace, perhaps with certain aspects cut out. In any case, Gill's art was super solid throughout this.
