This has easily become one of the best comic book series that I have read in 2019. The manner in which it deals with themes of death, loss of innocence, and friendship was incredibly well done. Gogol created a comic that I was able to dive in and walk out feeling amazed. Read Full Review
Gogol has created a very emotional, very surreal tale of life and the twisting paths we all take. This issue is the perfect way to say goodbye to the group but to also emphasize that art imitates life, and life is extremely hard at times. I love the artwork here; I love the way the colors change drastically when it is in the cold of the night. This series, though only three issues long, hits harder than most books on the shelves today. I hope we get to either revisit these kids one day or get a spiritual successor of a series, as I am blown away by Dead End Kids and Source Point Press. Will be on my list for Best of 2019, no doubt. Dead End Kids #3 was the conclusion that all series deserves. It tied up everything, but not in the stereotypical neat little bow. That's too clean for this series. But what we were given is exactly the sort of ending we needed to see, in many ways. Read Full Review

It was a pleasure to read the first two issues, but the pacing feels more like it's supposed to go for at least 12, and the abruptness that this was ended makes me think that there was supposed to be more. If handled well enough, and they promise to extend this series, most readers may not notice it, or even care all that much. If not, a lot of people are going to feel duped and not very pleased.
