I totally agree and everybody seems to forgwt that this arc of conan and the chick already did this stuff. We ended after the frost giants daughter and their was a fortress on the horizon and snake dudes to be killed. But#17 has not only failed the story but the art and characters and dialogue were a far cry from what we have had in 1-16 ive bought them all and the trade paperbacks . I really hope after 17 and 18 its not still bad.

Dec 19, 2024Conan and Blit have become legendary pirates. Some may wonder how much their stories have grown in the telling. But in Conan The Barbarian #17, as they relax in Kyros, Blit discovers that Conan's worries are justified. Still, that doesn't prevent her from accepting a job that could prove more dangerous than Conan's final robbery with Chaundra and the Gloryhounds. Read Full Review

Though it has good action, I feel like this is a step backward. It's a simple story, and flashback, of Belit and Conan having a good time until they are set upon by thieves. Characters that Conan and Belit should have made short work of, take a bit longer to dispatch. They are offered a job. I'm confused about what happened to the last arc. Did that end? If it did, it was not a satisfying conclusion. My Comic Book Review Channel - https://youtu.be/-aYykMrjGZk

New artist Danica Brine does a great job of depicting the port town and its inhabitants in fine-line detail and her action scenes are dynamic, but her Conan is a little too cartoony and Bêlit far too cute. No pirate queen is so slim and petite and her 'mating dance' is embarrassing. The brief flashback scene, more roughly drawn and sepia-toned, is truer to the characters. The story moves along briskly enough and it's good to see Conan and Bêlit enjoying some down time and sexy times, but the action and the set-up for the second part feel generic and obvious. Not exactly bad, but a slightly disappointing change of pace and style.

What happened??? The art the story. Did everybody forget where we left off in 16? All this in 17 had already been covered. The art is not good in #17 and what the heck was the two page spread lapdance? This aint conan?
