This comic is a must read for those who like me are not very familiar with the series because it explains how is the unknown process of change of Doctor, something understandable for a series that has many decades and that must change every protagonist so often, basically is the same person but his appearance and personality change. This issue offers only a few pages of the thirteenth Doctor (brilliantly drawn by Rachael Stott), but they are remarkable and reveal a take on the Doctor that is fresh for so many reasons. I will be waiting like all the rest of you for this fresh, new Doctor to finally land in October. For now, though, this issue serves a wonderful celebration of all the Doctor is and all that she will be. Read Full Review

Any Doctor Who fan should consider picking this up, especially for the beautiful art of the 13th Doctor and her transformation. It feels so fresh and vibrant and is the perfect appetizer for what we hope will be served up to us in just a week and a half's time. Even if, or perhaps especially if, you're like me and have only passing knowledge of classic Doctor Who and are more of a fan of the more recent seasons since the reboot, this is a great primer of everything you may have missed.
