Explore a brand new corner of the Valiant Universe!
In a distant solar system, advanced mechs known as Armorclads are used to fight wars and build worlds. On Xeru, genetically engineered workers live out their short lives mining a valuable mineral called The Pure in construction-class mechs known as Ironclads. When one of their own is killed, the Ironclads' world is turned upside down and they defy their oppressors. Along the way, they'll discover they're embroiled in a mystery dating back centuries that could change the world forever-as long as they band together.

ARMORCLADS #1 is a solid first issue for Valiants latest sci-fi entry. The piece parts from all your familiar favorite science-fiction properties are present for a bug-hunting good time. That said, the plethora of familiar elements makes this first issue feel a little too familiar, reducing the originality factor. However, the familiar elements are still enjoyable and made more so with impressive art. Read Full Review

Looks nice, but also very familiar - a bit *too* familiar even. What imho still could save it, is that proves to be a true new corner of the Valiant Universe & part of the official Valiant timeline, and not just something that easily could have been presented to us by a completely different company, and have a Wolverine appearance around #7 or #8. (Or maybe a new "The Speed" / OA apprentice?) Just make it a REAL Valiant book please, because, right now, it's really NOT.

    And "The Pure"?? Now, REALLY!
