The Broken Infinite - Frank Rodriguez Sep 9, 2015

The art was simply amazing, with vivid and powerful color. The writing was top notch as always. We learned a lot about the Shadow Seven, Sanguine, Neville and Ninjak this issue. While people might not be a fan of the villain back story, it deepens the mythology and overall story of the saga. It gives readers and our hero a bit more personal stake and makes the characters feel that much more real. Arreola is one of the best colorists in comics now and I'm glad he's here. Ninjak # 7 was a shining jewel of an issue and just reminds readers how to create a comic that is thought provoking, emotional and entertaining. Read Full Review

Ninjak #7 is an exciting look into how a spy comic can be both smart and fun, with the battle between our titular character and Sanguine being epic. So make sure to pick this Valiant comic up when you travel to your local comic book store this week. Read Full Review

Chuck's Comic Of The Day - Chuck Sep 8, 2015

The story by Matt Kindt indicates that there's a lot more going on than we realize - but he's being stingy with the details. (This is not a bad thing.) The art by Juan Jose Ryp is raw, intense and emotional - this isn't a story for kids. Read Full Review

Villain Smash - Brady Steele Sep 9, 2015

Ninjak #7 continues his frenetic pace its held since its debut. The action shifts but does not let up. This feels like a great television series where every episode matters and progresses the story logically and successfully. I know the first collected volume is coming out at the end of September so you have no excuse not to catch up on this thoroughly entertaining series. Read Full Review

Geeked Out Nation - Jideobi Odunze Sep 9, 2015

Overall another thrilling issue of Ninjak that had a lot going on but made it work. Intense action sequence, twists, and a better grasp of Colin's past that in turn better allows us to understand him as a person. Read Full Review

    All-Comic - Alex Mansfield Sep 10, 2015

Ninjak remains full of surprises; a psychological carnival of the ridiculous and the austere. Building a mythology of inner strength and rebirth borne from a place of hate and pain, Kindt, Ryp, and co. are taking a character study to unexpected heights of the monstrous and the familiar alike. Theres been plenty of narrative seeds sown through these first seven issues and theyll need to intertwine more closely soon lest they become too scattered between the multiple timelines, but for now it makes for an interesting sub-textual experience into who Ninjak is and why he is that way. Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Sep 9, 2015

While this issue has a pretty straight forward formula that was basically introduced in the last issue, it's still an incredible read. It's taking a formula and keeping it interesting that's truly impressive in comics, because otherwise it would be dull and you could just read the first and last issue of an arc and know how the rest turned out. With Ninjak, you don't want to miss an issue because of all the extra tidbits that make the formula great. Read Full Review

Overall, this is a solid issue, and although it wasn't what I hoped it would be, I'd be lying if I told you I didn't enjoy the comic. If you're at all curious aboutValiant‘s purple clad ninja, then you may want to start with the last issue, as the current ongoing story arc makes adecent place to start reading the monthly series. Infinite Comix - Daniel Gehen Sep 7, 2015

Though there are some bumps in the writing quality, the art for this series continues to be solid, with Juan Jos Ryp and Stephen Segovia providing a steady hand in the main feature and backup, respectively. Together, these artists realize a fully functional world that the reader can get lost in. Read Full Review

Valiant has been producing quality books for quite some time now. It is only now, that perhaps, cracks are beginning to show and they may be resting on their laurels. With long running books such as XO, Valiant certainly know what it takes to have long-term success. Here's to hoping that they can replicate that success for what I am sure they feel could be another flagship book. Read Full Review

Just two issues in to its latest arc, Ninjak already feels formulaic. The formula itself isn't bad - introduce new adversary with wild backstory, commence punchy punchy - but the actual execution comes off as a bit convenient. Read Full Review

Ninjak does give us a decent backup story here as we see more of Colin's journey to who he becomes because of how his parents were at the time and that helps to ease some of the pain of this installment. That and a bit of time with Neville goes a long way towards that. Colin's time in the present is just poorly executed and makes him far less compelling than he was in previous installments. Sanguine herself isn't all that interesting either and with half an issue given over to her and some of that with her origin story it's just too simple and too compressed. After seriously enjoying the hell out of this book at the start of it, Ninjak falters pretty big here and has me wondering if it can pull off the arc it's in the midst of in a strong enough way.
