Overall a great transition from what was seen in Unity #2 as a tie-in. If you are reading Valiant comic then this is the book which you should pick up if you wants something that has an impact on the world you know. They are fighting to save the world from itself and not a moment goes by that you aren't reminded of the consequences if they don't stop Aric before the fear he has created throws the world into a nuclear war. As usual the team of Cary Nord and Vicente Cifuentes continue to amaze with how they have brought this to life. Their style really does suit the story seeing how sleek the X-O Manowar armor looks, the detail put into both the water and the structure around them, then also the expressions on their faces which are very convincing. Cary Nord provides layouts for this issue and Vicente Cifuentes handles the finishes. It certainly looks better than the last issue, which had a seriously unfinished look. X-O Manowar #20 looks, for the most part, awesome. The backgrounds drop out a little too often, but the characters look fantastic so it's an offense you can get over fairly quickly. The best scene is a massive double-page spread of a crashing spaceship that really showcase the line work and the spectacular colors provided by Ulises Arreloa. It's a high point of the issue and it comes rather early. There's nothing bad after it, but nothing that quite looks as amazing. Read Full Review
If you are enjoying Unity so far then definitely pick this issue up. Most likely the events contained here will be recapped in one or two panels in Unity #3. If you don't read this issue you can still enjoy the main crossover without worry. However it does add a bit of depth and interaction between the group and gives a little extra to fans enjoying the main storyline. Read Full Review

X-O MANOWAR #20 (as well as UNITY #2, which you need to check out) is a great tie in and addition to the Unity story. Venditti not only delivers a fantastic issue, but he keeps it closely tied to UNITY and makes it feel like the perfect extension to that series. Overall, while this is most definitely not the standalone story arc its advertised as, this title works extremely well as part of the ongoing saga, and provides some key character and storyline beats that are undoubtedly going to be extremely significant as the rest of this crossover unfolds. This issue does an excellent job of fleshing out some of the events and characters of Unity. Valiant treats us to a tie-in that actually matters and builds off of the main story, something readers have been burned by with other publishers. Italia - Ora si comprende meglio come Livewire abbia preso il controllo dell'armatura e i vuoti di trama lasciati durante la narrazione in Unity. Sicuramente un buon capitolo, anche se i disegni non mi hanno particolarmente colpito.
In generale ottimo.
