Overall this is a fitting finale to one of Valiant's most consistently engrossing and visually stunning series to date. Writer Matt Kindt has done a fantastic job of bringing X-O Manowar to the forefront of what can be done in comic books and sequential art storytelling. The high standard maintained throughout the run is evident in the culmination of Kindt's epic narrative here in this issue. If you haven't been following X-O Manowar in single issues I highly recommend picking up the trades. Read Full Review
You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful ending to a run than what we got out of X-O Manowar #26. Other books try to see this as that opportunity to crank the dial one last time, but sometimes all you need is to take a step back and use that time for appreciating everything which led to this point. O Manowar in fine fashion and give the character a strong run to point new readers toward. Read Full Review
Very much a "writer's" story, rather than an X-O one. Overall, this was a good run though.
The entire team can be proud of it.
You know how X-O Manowar is essentially a cross between Thor and Superman? Well, in case you forgot, we have this as the last issue in the series to remind us. Overall, this was a decent run; it started out strong but it gradually lost steam with each passing month. If you plan to check out this series, I'd recommend sticking around until Aric is the emperor and leaving off on that high point.
