Any longtime fan of the comic series is going to know exactly what they are getting with yet another Alien #1. The writing is good, the art is outstanding, but my quarrel with the Alien series is that it is always much of the same. Very interesting first issue that will definitely pull you in and have you asking questions almost immediately. It’s really nice to see a young bats and who hasn’t missed Alfred?! To the whole world, even Batman, it seems that Jim Gordon murdered the mayor in cold blood and to the reader you will start to believe it too. This was 100 percent gimmicky, albeit enjoyable but it’s just another “hero’s save multiverse” with a Deadpool/wolverine spin. The saving grace was it had a heartfelt ending but honestly I wouldn’t waste the money with this one.
