Overall, DC X Sonic The Hedgehog #1 is a fun and lighthearted crossover that delivers on its promise of an entertaining adventure. It's a must-read for fans of both franchises and those who enjoy seeing unlikely heroes team up to save the day. While it might not be a deep or complex story, it's a delightful romp that will leave readers smiling. Read Full Review
DC x Sonic Hedgehog #1 has plenty of action and even more fun while staying true to the core of these iconic characters. Honestly, this might make a great first DC comic for kids who dig the recent, underrated Sonic live action films. Read Full Review
DC X Sonic the Hedgehog #1 is a great start to a crossover that works unexpectedly well. Not since Ultraman X Avengers have I read a crossover that's this fun, this action packed, or this amazing. DC fans and Sonic fans alike need to race to their comic shops to pick this up. Read Full Review
The issue has to do quite a bit of exposition to fuse the two concepts, and with twelve main characters not counting the villains, it has a lot of heavy lifting to do. But despite that, I wound up having a good deal of fun with it. Ian Flynn clearly knows the Sonic characters well, and he seems to have a good deal of love for the DCU as well. Read Full Review
DC x Sonic the Hedgehog #1 is a strong start to this crossover that sees the Justice League meeting the speedsters and other characters from the #Sonic the Hedgehog universe. If you're up for a ride, just turn off your brain and enjoy the art and whirlwind pacing. This crossover has four more issues to grow, but there's enough here for fans of either series to enjoy. Read Full Review
I'd say that I'm pretty used to reviewing crossovers at this point. I've looked at Scooby-Doo, I've (unfortunately) looked at the Godzilla/Kong crossover. I'm not sure if it's just the base concept that appeals to me more, but this has been my favourite so far. This first issue works because the concept is fun. I don't think that the concept is strong enough to hold 5 issues though. Hoping the next issue has a bit more meat to it now that the introductions are over. However if you're just looking for an easy crossover book, this issue will hit the spot. Read Full Review
This is an absolute BANGER. I’m 32 years old and something about Sonic and the justice league is just an instant classic. This is not a gimmicky book at all, the creative team from IDW absolutely smashed this out of the park. Sonic and the flash battling over who’s the fastest and Sonic absolutely roasting the flash every chance he gets is just pure gold. There’s a pretty dark plot too and it really goes well with the Sonic characters and their more “traditional” superhero counter parts. Seriously this is a must read for any Sonic nerd for sure!
This is the stuff dreams are made of. Thank you DC and Sega.
Just a fun and entertaining issue. I think after finishing King Spawn I might check IDW Sonic the Hedgehog out. I like the banter and how sonic characters are similar to the justice league
