Rather than exploring the underlying tensions and causes of rising fascism, Animal Pound begins dipping into apologia. It has no space to consider the other, only the tragedy of how (entirely unexamined) grand founding ideals are twisted into something cruel. This series is still going strong. Let’s see if Tom king can stick the landing. Things getting increasingly bad and chaotic as the animals abandon their ideals that lead to their lberation and become increasingly self interested.
I initially thought this issue was really good but the more I think about it, it's a lot of words that just meant the same thing. It was interesting, but feels a little redundant.
This series is the discount version of George Orwell's ANIMAL FARM.
But whereas Orwell's story was a timeless and brilliant work of art, tom king's poor attempt is nothing more utter rubbish!
The real crime here is they wasted paper and ink on this.
