Midway through writing this review, I received a large parcel, inside of which I discover about a dozen or so presents from my parents, wrapped and ready to be opened on Christmas morning. I'm definitely looking forward to what seeing what Santa sent them to give to me. But excited as I am, I have to thank Grant Morrison and Dan Mora for giving me early what will certainly prove to be the best gifts I receive this holiday. Already an annual re-reading of Klaus was planned as a new tradition starting this year. I'd been looking forward to such since before the series finished. But to have even more of one of the year's best comics arrive as an unexpected surprise just in time for the holidays? That's a genuine Christmas miracle! Read Full Review
This book gave me even more motivation to gather up the seven book series it spawned off and I fully intend to read it all soon. I truly need to see the rest of the story I got a glimpse into in thePen&Ink and more with this. Many of you get Christmas gifts for yourselves and if comics are one of those things, this book should be on your list for sure. Read Full Review
Klaus And The Witch Of Winter blew me away. I expected it to be darker and with less subtle storytelling, but Morrison and Mora actually increased my Christmas spirit whilst having Klaus throw down and beat the ever loving hell out of an army of foes coming at him. If that doesnt scream Happy Holidays, Im not sure what does. Overall, this is a well executed one-shot issue with entertaining twists and top notch art. Read Full Review

If you were a fan of Klaus, then I think this is worth picking up. It still earnestly believes in the goodness of Santa and Klaus himself for doing everything he does simply to help people. If you didn't read the original but are interested, you might test the waters with this one. And if you dig it, Boom! Studios released a hardcover collection of the full limited series last month. A perfect piece of Christmas, wonderful, simple, exciting, and a ton of fun. Grant Morrison needs to do more here, there is just to much to explore, to much to do, and I want to see as much of it as possible!
It doesn't get much better for me than this, - a Grant Morrison comic that doesn't fuck with my brain so much I feel self conscious..(although I do love most of his stuff)! This one shot is brilliant, I haven't got much to add other than I love the artwork, there's lots of interesting details in each panel and the mythology of klaus is fascinating to watch. Morrison has something amazing with this character. He's taken something that sounds naff and uncool and somehow made it A MASS OFF STUNNER! Important to note- I hadn't read the initial series (i've got it on order now) - and it still totally made sense and was thoroughly enjoyable. NB: I have been reading Tom Strong by Alan Moore recently and I must say, this one shot simply blew that more
i really hope Grant Morrison keeps doing more of these ‘Klaus’ stories!
from the great set-up of the initial minis-series, now we can have exploring new adventures with the character.
the world Grant has created is very imaginative with magnificent creatures, Dan Mora’s art brings it to life beautifully.
if you enjoyed the Klaus mini-series this is definitely worth checking out!
Grant's spin on Geppetto was absolutely insane!!!! but in a good way!
