The action and drama are at a high point, but as the story continues, it's time to ask how long it will last. This book has the potential to continue telling great stories with these characters for a long time. This was another outstanding issue of Power Rangers, keeping the story humming along while delivering some new and exciting action and visuals. Tommy fighting the giant Black Dragon? The Green Ranger temporarily ditching his power shield? The other rangers morphed into the color green? Higgins is off the chain with this comic, playing with the Power Rangers mythos in incredibly fun and exciting ways. The dip in pace makes for a quieter issue " as quiet as an issue can be with a 30-foot shark man battling a robot dragon, in space " but ultimately the respite allows for some much needed character focus. Read Full Review
The creative team is still doing a fantastic job on this Power Rangers book. They are taking the original "90's" rangers and making them there own. They do a fantastic job of making this universe serious but not so dark and gritty that it forgets it's campiertv show roots. I cannot see fans of the Power Rangersnot liking this book. Nostalgia can only hold a book up for so long, if the creative team wasn't doing such a fantastic job this book would be cancelled by now, I for one am looking forward to where they take these characters in future issues! Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers #8 starts off dark, but slowly starts to drag its way back into the light with rising hope. The Rangers work on a plan to save Billy and take back their power. They begin to patch up the wounds that their distrust of each other has caused, and Black Dragon shows he isn't completely evil. There may be a chance for the Rangers yet. Read Full Review
