In "Batman Must Die!" part 2 of 3, one of our heroes lies near death! Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne enter the ultimate, blood-soaked battle against two foes who almost destroyed the original Batman. Are the new Dynamic Duo up to this final confrontation with absolute evil? If they can't truly bond as a team, they're dead!
The Joker takes control of the comic book, the arc and the Morrison run in this issue. What's not to like? This is the comic book where the bulk of Morrison's run becomes very clear. I enjoyed this issue probably more than any other in this series. Read Full Review
Morrison and Irving have offered a sophisticated, multi-layered episode in a promising arc. It is psychologically rich and filled with unhinged personalities at the thin edge of functionality. Batman and Robin #14 is well worth the price of admission and deserves to be on the top of anyone's pull list. Read Full Review
All in all, I really enjoyed this issue, but it has a middle issue feeling some decent moments, good characterization and art, but very little happens. Players were moved into position for the big conclusion next month and while I have anticipation for what will happen next, I almost feel like I could skip this issue and be fine going into the final part with how little plot sensitive material was here and that keeps this from a Must Read verdict for me. Don't let this slight negativity fool you though, it was still an excellent read and I still highly recommend it. Read Full Review
Frazer Irving does a commendable job capturing the atmosphere that Morrison requires for this arc to reach its maximum effectiveness. The slight catch here is Irving's atmospheric strengths do work against him here as several panels aren't as clear as they might be. These slight catches are mere bumps in the road however, as Batman and Robin delivers one of its finest stories yet. And that's saying quite a bit. Read Full Review

The best thing about "Batman and Robin" #14? It feels like anything can happen. Sure, we all know that Dick and Damian will live to fight another day, but in the back of your head Morrison manages to plant a seed of doubt that this has gotten too out of control for even our heroes. That's the kind of storytelling I like. I'm sad that Morrison only has two more issues of "Batman and Robin" left, but he's knocking this last big story out of the park. Read Full Review
Batman and Robin continues to be one of the best superhero books being published today, and while I'm concerned about the changes coming in the next few months, I'm willing to see where this ride takes me. Read Full Review
Not a bad effort, but the story's still a mess. Read Full Review
Batman and Robin #14 delivered on everything I expect a Grant Morrison penned issue to be. From top to bottom this was a fantastic, tightly written story. Morrison is showing a lot of focus in this story which has been missing from his work as of late. The story feels big like a big event that no Batman fan should miss. Everything is falling apart around Dick Grayson as he has lost all control in Gotham City as the new Batman and is faced with the biggest challenge of his life. I cant wait to see how Morrison finishes this arc with the next issue. I highly recommend Batman fans to pick this, and the previous, issue up as it really feels like a big Batman story. Another great issue. Irving’s art is exceptional and Hurt is by far the best villain of the series yet. Morrison’s unique take on Joker makes this issue even better
