This series has a great central mystery, and a lot of intriguing subplots that are likely leading to a powerful conclusion only months from now. Read Full Review

Batman and Robin #22 is a standout installment that expertly blends gothic horror with grounded emotional storytelling. Batman and Robin #22 has been my favorite issue of Phillip Kennedy Johnson's run so far. There were major revelations, but I still have lingering questions. But at this point, I feel all the story plots are coming together and we're approaching the climax of the Memento arc on a good trajectory. Hopefully the creative team can stick the landing as all signs are pointing to Bruce's old London mentor, Atticus Byle. I'm excited to see what happens next. Read Full Review

There are still some things I'm not a fan of. Batman is still hesitant to believe the super natural is at play...even though Jason Blood and Etrigan are IN Gotham. I also fear Katherine's animosity towards Batman having a young sidekick, Damian's reluctance to stay Robin, and the crossed out "Robin" on the comic's cover are all concerning. But I am enjoying the story, the villain, the guest appearances, and the look of the book. Read Full Review

I enjoyed this issue much better than the previous. I'm also glad that Memento is a supernatural entity. I honestly love when Batman stories delve into the occult, and powers from beyond. Not enough Batman stories do, IMO. So with this issue, PKJ has really piqued my interest! I also really loved seeing Etrigan. Any time a writer can incorporate a Jack Kirby character, we ALL win! The addition of "The Irregulars" is also a nice touch! I love seeing writers explore this side of Batman, that he has a soft side for kids down on their luck, and checks in on them and gives them stuff. Looking forward to seeing where this all goes. But to be honest, I am curious if PKJ will be staying on this title? or if DC is planning on a new creative more

Biggest complaint is Jason blood. Seems way out of character to me.

Though the story is being dragged out far too long, I'm still enjoying each issue. Just a shame as this could've been great with less issues.

Good issue, though not quite as good as previous chapters. I feel like we got an anti-climactic, almost throwaway, reveal of who Memento really is, though the details are a bit murky. I feel like this story is being stretched out much further than it needs to be, and the guest appearance of the Demon seems contrived. Hopefully we get an ending in sight next issue.

Though I like the use of the characters, especially Damien, this story just feels like it's going nowhere. This story has been going on for over 10 issues, and barely anything has happened with the villain. We know nothing about him, and apathy is setting in. If he doesn't close this story up by issue 24, I'm dropping it and I'll come back later. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/8l2mvY9YFF0
