Thanks to some magical help from Zatanna, Batman can now see Deadman. Joining forces, the Dark Knight and the death-defying specter hatch a plan to apprehend the treacherous Talon. But the mysterious assassin gets the upper hand and captures Hamilton Hill Jr.! Can Batman and Deadman track the regeneration formula components and find the sinister Court of Owls' secret passageways, or will Gotham finally fall under the Court's full control?!
This first clash with the Talons proved thrilling in a impressively written and drawn two-parter. So far this book is off to a tremendously encouraging start for fans of the cartoon series and fun stories. Read Full Review
These last two issues were amazing. We are served classic characters, new storylines, and the nostalgic era of Batman: The Animated Series on a silver platter. I would 100% recommend picking up not only this issue but the preceding issue as well. You will not be disappointed! Read Full Review

Batman: The Adventures Continue #2.2 is a fun romp. As always, there are laughs, heart warming moments, and Batman being written and drawn in a way that makes you say "God I miss this show". I liked this issue the more I thought about it, after initially feeling a little jarred. After further thought, however" it was great! Read Full Review
I enjoyed this two patter story that does a lot of work, and makes it seem breezy in execution: evoke the tone of the classic animated series, and hearken back to the classic Bronze Age tales of Batman teaming up with Deadman for a fun noir-tinged adventure, AND find a way to retcon a plausible twist on an erstwhile ancillary character from said animated series. I found this to be very well done, with some excellent art that captures the noir elements of this universe really well.
My only minor quibble is no actual Nightwing vs Talon showdown as the cover would have us believe, but the good outweighs the bad here. You get to see Alfred do a flip! Come on!
Interesting twist Hill being alive and joining the court. I wonder if his son will be playing a role in future issues. The only downside is no Nightwing/talon clash like on the cover, but I'm sure we'll see them again soon enough. It's good to come back to a familiar continuity spared the disasters of the regular series, but I'd really prefer the Fox version over the WB one.
I'm always going to be annoyed by the false advertisement on the cover but I liked Batman and Deadman's chemistry when it comes to their life (and afterlife)'s purpose. I just hope we can see more of the Court down the line.
