Damage #8 had a good balance between being informative and delivering on the action that you expect from this series. Overall this issue really opened our eyes to the argument that is what it means to be a soldier and the difference between being that and being a superhero. Read Full Review
DAMAGE #8 is a solid issue. With the introduction of a new character, the Unknown Soldier, the redundant plot line of the Damage series may finally change. Although some facial expression look stiff and lifeless, the face paced nature during the chase scenes is captured in the artwork. Overall, a decent issue. Read Full Review
This was a great introduction for the next arc in Damage's development. The Unknown Soldier is a legendary character and I love his role in this story. I think he has the compassion to show Ethan the two sides to the choices he will need to make. He also has the experience to provide some guidance and maybe a few tricks about how to operate out of the public eye. I think Ethan would benefit from a disguise. Read Full Review

While I still don't think Damage is quite up to the quality level the early issues of the series were able to obtain this issue seems to show a bit of rebound effort in getting the series focus back on track. The brief appearance of our title character artistically gets the character back to the size and scale of earlier issues as well. Overall combined together this effort at least makes me look forward to next weeks annual and seeing where this story moves from there. Read Full Review

good art, and the story is finally starting to almost maybe make a bit of sense. I was close to dropping it before this issue, but... I'll give it another issue or so.
mostly because I'm interested in the Unknown Soldier :)
With every new issue, Damage is growing on me more and more. He may not be as good as Silencer and The Terrifics, but it's a solid read with its own backstory, always expanding. If you've been reading Damage for a while, you expect what you're signing for this month. If you don't, well, why not giving the big guy a try? Despite rocky beginning, he's establishing himself in the DC universe and becoming his own thing.
Long, drawn out sigh.
