The Flash #17 is a prime example of how fun this character can be when the creative team knows how to meld the ridiculousness with the heart and moral of the story. Read Full Review

While the plot can still rely a little too much on exposition-heavy sci-fi plot devices, this arc at least returns to the emotional core of the previous run. Read Full Review

    Fantastic.
I understand some of the criticisms but c’mon, it’s been ages to read something fresh and challenging under this title.

Much better than the last issue. But This will be a seriously polarizing issue.

I appreciate spurrier because he tries different things. And I feel like the art fits the book and what he is trying.

The villain appears absurdly out of character until you get to the last few pages. Then it’s just bizarre and I like that.

But some will hate the tone and everything about this.

I swear the start of this had me so damn confused and just saying to myself, "WTF is going on right now?" "Metarelativistic Adapters," "Converting Physics into Faith and Fable," I was lauging so hard to myself, no idea what the hell was happening, then you get hit with W.E.S. Wandering Esoteric Smartass LOL. From there, it does start to get really, really damn good—just a lot of really good fun! BLADE OF THE UNDYING STILLNESS, Yes! Just the way it persented the way he says it, it was perfect. Overall, if your looking for just a really good time, this is a great book for that!
