JASON TODD AND THE JOKER - WORKING TOGETHER?! Over 30 years ago, history was made when fans voted to kill the second Robin, Jason Todd. Now, DC continues the alternate story of what would have happened if he had lived... Will Batman be able to bring Robin back from the brink of madness...or lose the boy forever? And, in losing Jason, will he lose himself as well? The stakes have never been higher--as the Joker prepares to unleash an army of mad virus bats on the city. It all comes down to a bullet aimed at the Joker's head, with millions of lives--and Jason Todd's soul and sanity--hanging in the balance!

This has been a great experiment, especially due to the deliberately old-school art by Leonardi that makes it feel like it truly could have come out in the months after the original comic. I'm hoping DC continues to do experiments like this. Read Full Review

With the launch of All In and Absolute, I went in expecting to see a lot of mediocre books. I thought that if those books weren't too good, I'd at least have this book to fall back on. A good conclusion to a good story. Who'd have thought I'd end up enjoying those books far more than this one? The art and colouring is as good as ever, which is the only real saving grace here. The writing just isn't there. A real disappointment, I really hoped we'd have a strong finish. To end on a slightly positive note, I wish all you readers a happy Halloween. Stay spooky! For the most part this was an enjoyable story. Unfortunately this conclusion left much to be desired. It really was just a copy of the Return of the Joker movie. Only here we got the fate they had to pass on because it was too violent at the time. The end looked like t may work out for Jason, but they chose something much more disappointing.
One of the other problems with this book didn't even involve the story itself. The narration dialogue was written with a dark purple background, making it near impossible to read. What were they thinking? You don't write the dialogue on a dark color background. That's almost like writing on pitch black paper with black ink.
If you want to judge the story as a whole it was pretty good. But the more

Starts off as an awful "Return of the Joker" rip off, then gets good with an interesting direction, to only end with a terrible final few pages.

This probably should have never happened. Sure, Robin lives, but it's just more nihilistic crap! Nothing I'd ever want to read again.
